The Goth family, round 2

The second round of the Goth family, or at least, what I have actually documented about it (started around the 3rd day), began rather precariously.

Both Mortimer and Bella missed their car pool because they were too busy sleeping, though Cassandra did make it to school in time, thankfully.

While they were starting their day and keeping up with their needs, Bella found out that their maid really doesn't care about walking into people taking a bath; her job was more important than having some decency.

... until she seemingly didn't realize that the couple was eating a table full of dirty dishes and old newspapers.
What do they pay her for?

After eating breakfast and spending some time with her husband, Bella decided to go wash the dishes herself, as the maid didn't seem to be doing a great job today...
... but neither was Bella, as she for some reason decided that the best place to wash the dishes... would be the second floor bathroom.
What the hell?

The maid continued giving the family trouble.
As Mortimer was trying to call Jeff Pleasant, whom he was trying to befriend to try and get a promotion at work, the maid blocked his way because she was again trying to clean up the bathroom, but of course, she couldn't get inside because Mortimer was there, and so both got stuck like idiots in the bathroom for a while.

While that was going on, Bella got to work on her charisma in the bedroom's mirror, talking to herself.
Although they weren't asking for a high charisma skill at the moment, she knew she would eventually need it to get future promotions, and she didn't really have much else to do right now, so...

After finally solving the whole maid problem, Mortimer finally managed to call Jeff... after many attempts, anyways.
It would be complicated to build this relationship, as Jeff was a little grouchy, but they were off to a good start.

A little while later, Cassandra arrived back home from school, and for probably the first time in her life, she actually found a full plate of food to fill her empty stomach!
It seems that missing a day of work does have its benefits, after all!

Later at night, Mortimer was still trying to build his relationship with Jeff, while Bella had just finished gaining a charisma skill point.
She was feeling quite hungry, so she went to grab a plate of food.
Unfortunately, Mortimer and Jeff were blocking her way, and by the time she was able to grab the plate, the food had spoiled.
Still, it seemed good enough to actually eat!

Although she was able to eat the rotten food, she somehow managed to break the sink while washing the dishes.
Maybe that's why she always washes the dishes in the upstairs bathroom...

As the day was drawing to a close, Jeff started to feel hungry, and left. Unfortunately, it seems that Mortimer will need more time to get that promotion he seeks.

Mortimer realized that they had forgotten to paid the bills, so he quickly did before their very valuable furniture wouldn't be repossesed.
This game really needs a bills alarm or something similar...

As Bella and Cassandra were already in bed, it was time for Mortimer to fix the sink.
He's not a good repairman, but it will have to do until we have time to increase everyone's mechanic skill.

And as expected with all these graves lying around, a ghost came to visit! No spooks so far, tho!

In the Goth's household, child labour is completely acceptable once all the adults are asleep!

As they were both now awake already, and there was still some time until the car pool and school bus arrived, Cassandra decided to do some painting and Bella did some workout until the morning, which was a skill she also needed to build-up for later promotions.

Bella and Cassandra were able to get to their car pools in time, but Mortimer almost missed work again, which would've cost him the job had he not waken up juuuust in time.

After everyone arrived back home, they all had dinner, though Bella, being weird as she is, decided to eat her dinner later and not with her husband and daughter.

Later in the night, after some more ghosts came to visit, Bella had another lifting session and improved her physical skill, and later decided to watch a bit of TV with her daughter, for once.

In the morning, poor Cassandra again had to wait for breakfast to be done by her parents, and once more, had to eat alone with her dad.
Bella really isn't that great of a parent, she's still sleeping!

The family later went to work, Bella being quite tired, and after they made it back, Cassandre finally had a nice meal with her mother.
Strangely, later at night, Diane Pleasant made a visit, which is not an unusual sight actually, which was a good opportunity for Mortimer to improve his chances of a promotion at the cost of his other motives...

Now that they have saved up some money, the Goths have decided to finally buy a new 3-seated sofa, which will do wonders for their friends requirements and comfort!

This night, we finally get to see the whole family having a meal together!
Hurray!

Unfortunately this morning, the Goth family was a little too tired to go to work.
Bella managed to get in a quick nap before heading to work, but Mortimer was stuck to his bed sheets and ended up waking up too late, so he decided to try out that new sofa they bought and ended up quite liking it.

All of his soon-to-be friends are also currently at work during these hours, so Mortimer will have to improvise to not waste his missed work day.
He tries to call Bob Newbie a couple times, until he eventually agrees to come visit the Goth family member, which will be yet another opportunity to get a job promotion.

This evening, he won't be eating with his family, but rather, with Bob.
Kind of strange, but it is building up their new relationship quite nicely.

While he's doing that, his wife and daughter are actually having a fun time together, trying out the new sofa.

Unfortunately for Mortimer, he will have to go to work on this Sunday, due to his missed day previously, while his wife Bella will be spending time building up her skills.

Finally, just before ending our current round, Mortimer managed to get back from work in a good mood, called his neighbour Jeff Pleasant, and finally managed to befriend the grudgy old man!

And just at that happens, the round ends.
What will await the Goth family in the next round of the rotational play? What will they do in the other families' round 2? We will see in time...
